Family Moments – Family Nights

Impression points occur every day of our lives. Intentionally or not, we impress upon our children our values, preferences, beliefs, quirks and concerns. When we do it right, we can turn them on to the things we believe. But when we do them wrong, we can turn our children off to the values we most hope they will embrace.

The goal is to find ways of making this reality work for us, rather than against us by creating and capturing opportunities to impress upon the next generation our values and beliefs. Deut 6:6-7 clearly states: These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Through what we call Family Nights – a designated family time each week to come together and learn a biblical truth through fun and engaging object lessons from the Family Night Guy -families can provide the formal teaching opportunities that set up the informal allowing the daily application discussions for Biblical training at the wisdom/application level!
