Facing Temptations

Goal: To teach children the importance of making good decisions when facing temptation

According to the Bible, it is not a matter of whether we will face temptation, but when. Temptation is meant to trap us and to pull us away from fellowship with God. Prayer and Bible study - fellowship with God, are the exact opposite: they keep the channels of communication with our Father open. The night the Lord Jesus was captured, in the garden of Gethsemane, he told to his disciples: Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Therefore, it is important for our children to understand that they need God’s help through prayer and knowing what is right in His Word to live a righteous life.
